EU’s Michel: ‘we favor more balance in Eastern Mediterranean’

BRUSSELS (Reuters) – European Council President Charles Michel said on Thursday earlier than an EU summit he will chair that the bloc wished more balance in the Eastern Mediterranean, where tensions like risen in contemporary months between Turkey and Greece and Cyprus.

“We favor more balance. We favor more predictability,” he instructed journalists earlier than the summit in Brussels, where the refined relationship between Turkey and the 27-nation EU could be discussed.

“We are entirely in cohesion with Greece and Cyprus to defend and defend their sovereign rights,” Michel said.
