IQALUIT, Nunavut – Nunavut has confirmed nine sure conditions of COVID-19 on the Hope Bay gold mine within the western section of the territory.
The Nunavut government launched the sure conditions in a files release Monday evening.
Any other four presumptive sure conditions agree with also been identified and are pending attempting out at a lab in southern Canada.
Final week, the territory declared eight presumptive sure conditions of COVID-19 on the mine, which is found 125 kilometres southwest of Cambridge Bay.
The release stated the federal government is light working to set up on whether the sure conditions on the mine will depend as the first within the territory.
Circumstances that were launched earlier weren’t counted for the reason that folks got right here from outside Nunavut.
The release also stated 12 folks live in isolation and all non-crucial shuttle to and from the mine is on withhold.
