
Malaysian physician deletes stigmatizing COVID-19 tweets that acknowledged ‘satisfied habits trigger AIDS’
A Malaysian physician has apologized and deleted a series of tweets highlighting the possibility of COVID-19 amongst AIDS sufferers while stigmatizing satisfied contributors.
Nurul Yaqeen, a respiratory physician on the Sunway Clinical Centre Poke in Kuala Lumpur, apologized for the so-called misunderstandings the day outdated to this after she drew backlash for writing a thread that conflated homosexuality, AIDS, and the coronavirus. She even added an X-ray of a 30-twelve months-ragged patient she acknowledged used to be suffering from the two ailments after doing “satisfied activities” for plenty of years, noting that “satisfied habits trigger AIDS.”
